Community governance

Community Code of Conduct

The clmbot community welcomes people with different backgrounds and levels of experience. Discussions should focus on solving problems and sharing reusable knowledge.

Expected behavior

Be respectful and constructive. Confirm facts before reaching conclusions, focus criticism on the problem, documentation, or proposed solution, and provide new participants with the context they need.

  • Use clear, verifiable technical language
  • Acknowledge and correct mistakes promptly
  • Respect other people's time, privacy, and attribution choices
  • Sanitize public logs and screenshots

Unacceptable behavior

Harassment, discrimination, threats, doxxing, persistent personal attacks, and publishing credentials, private keys, customer information, or other sensitive data are unacceptable.

Reporting and enforcement

Report ordinary community conflicts through GitHub reporting or maintainer moderation channels. Depending on severity, maintainers may warn a participant, edit or hide content, or restrict participation. Unfixed security vulnerabilities must be sent to security@clmbot.org and must not be posted in a public Issue or Discussion.

Appeals and privacy

A person affected by a moderation decision may request review. Records are available only to maintainers who need them for the decision, and any public explanation must protect participant privacy and community safety.

Scope

This code applies to the getclmbot organization, Issues, Discussions, and other public spaces where someone participates as a member of the clmbot community.
