About clmbot

clmbot is a certificate delivery and automated deployment tool maintained by sslTrus Inc. (opens in a new tab) The binary is free for non-commercial use only.

The problem we solve

Issuance is only one part of the certificate lifecycle. Certificates must also reach physical servers, virtual machines, containers, and web services safely, then replace the correct files, preserve backups, and become active. clmbot focuses on this delivery stage.

An expanding range of connections

CaaS is an important current upstream for clmbot, but it is not the product boundary. Through adapters, clmbot can connect to private CLM platforms or other certificate services. Available methods depend on the documentation for each release.

Project origin

clmbot was initiated by sslTrus Inc., which continues to provide engineering support. The current release consists of compiled packages available free of charge for non-commercial use only. Product and website source code are not public; any future open-source plans will be announced formally.

Community principles

The project improves its product and documentation through public questions, issue reports, and compatibility validation.

  • Treat official documentation and release notes as the authoritative public sources
  • Include the version, environment, and reproducible results in compatibility reports
  • Use separate channels for security vulnerabilities and ordinary issues
  • The community does not promise a fixed response time or service level
  • Reproduction details, deployment experience, and documentation suggestions all help improve the product
